I’m very pleased to have some work in this exhibition at Cupola Contemporary Art in Sheffield. There is an open evening tomorrow – please pop along if you get the chance. Details below:
Saturday 19th April – Saturday 24th May 2014
Evening Opening: Friday 25 April, 7:30pm onwards
Process is a selected ‘open call’ exhibition about skills and process used in the creation of artworks.
“The idea of the exhibition is to show the 90% of the iceberg that normally doesn’t get shown as well as showcasing highly ‘process’ based works. Cupola wants to start conversations about the entire process an artist goes through to create a piece of work, rather than simply concentrating on the final product. Art works in the exhibition are a diverse selection highlighting artists’ different approaches and responses to the open call.”
Karen Sherwood, Director & curator
Painting, printmaking, books, textile sculpture, drawing, wire and steel sculpture, chocolate and bronze sculpture, glass, ceramics, video and performance are all represented in this exhibition. Written information about the artists’ processes will be available as part of the show.
